Support Make Data Count infrastructure through the SCOSS program

Since December 2024, Make Data Count participates in the SCOSS program. SCOSS (the Global Sustainability Coalition for Open Science Services) is a network of organizations that makes rigorous recommendations on which open infrastructure is essential to open science and should be considered for crowdfunding-style funding support.

The SCOSS Board considers Make Data Count an essential international infrastructure due to our work to advance open data-usage tracking, a culture of data sharing and recognition, and greater reproducibility in research.

Through SCOSS, organizations can provide financial support to Make Data Count so that we can invest in the further development of infrastructure for tracking data usage, and pursue outreach to global communities about data-evaluation practices. Through this support, we are also seeking to more closely engage with libraries and institutions, critical constituents in open data stewardship.
