Make Data Count is a community initiative. We work with researchers, repositories, publishers, institutional representatives, funders, policymakers and infrastructure providers to promote open data metrics and the responsible evaluation of research data usage.
The Make Data Count community interacts through:
- In-person convenings and virtual events
- RDA Data Usage Metrics Working Group
- Make Data Count newsletter
We are also completing community consultations to inform the development of the open global data citation corpus. If you would like to provide feedback on the corpus or discuss a possible collaboration, please contact Iratxe Puebla, Director of Make Data Count.

“Make Data Count has a strong emphasis on community and is committed to engaging all stakeholders in the discussion, which will ensure its long-term success. I’m proud to be a part of the movement to build, promote, and encourage the use of tools and a community that boost research data visibility and utility.”
